Good day!!!!!! Thanks for joining us on our 3rd Day of CONSECRATION.
Today's Prayer Focus is on the Spiritual Discipline of Prayer. Let me begin with a few scriptures I think you NEED to read.
In God's Word we are advised to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer (Romans 12:12).
…Do not be anxious, or worried about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God (Philippians 4:6).
It’s hard to overstate the importance of this spiritual discipline in your Christian life. Prayer is so important!  What is prayer? It is simply asking God for help or strength or provisions. It also includes praising God and giving thanks for things He has done in your life.
Prayer is an outlet for you to talk ONE-ON-ONE with your creator! Isn't that AMAZING???!!!  What a privilege!!! You have the honor of actually getting an audience with THE GOD OF THE UNIVERSE!!!
Because of this, you should not worry or “be anxious about anything,” but bring all your needs and concerns to your gracious Father, because he loves you.
Another scripture says..."Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you", (1 Peter 5.6-7).
It is humbling to ask our Father for what we need. Prayer says, “Father, I need your help. I need your grace. I need you to provide for me...to give me wisdom and strength. To lead and guide me."
Rather than try to solve your own problems or handle your own anxiety, you should cast them on your Father. Why? Because He cares for you – He genuinely, truly cares for you.
Remember, as I stated on DAY 1, a “discipline” is something we do regularly. So don’t wait until you’re in trouble to pray. Do it every day!
Thanks for taking time to Log In and read today's prayer focus.
God bless you!  I love you with the love of Jesus!  And if you are a GSBC MEMBER, (even if you are a guest, and you want solid, biblical teaching), I invite you to attend Bible Study this evening at 6:30.  I will be continuing our series on Esther!!!!  Gonna be good! Don't miss it!
